Who are we

Katherine is an American who grew up riding in Alaska and attended Lake Erie College. After college she continued her education abroad where she ended up riding and showing young horses in France. She noticed the strong market for Jumpers but also saw many equitation and hunter prospects that would be great for the American market. These horses were often over looked by French riders and breeders because they were not competitive but Katherine saw potential in them.

French Horse Exports was started in 2013 to help Americans access the French horse market. We offer services from importing and exporting to your trip to France to horse shop! French Horse Exports strives to be a full-service business to help make purchasing horses over seas a breeze. Whether you are coming over in person or are looking to buy off video we can help you in every step of the process.

In January 2025, Katherine partnered up with Margaux Spitzer, owner of Papillon Stables, to better serve her clients with quality French horses. Margaux is available from March through October for European tours, customizing your stay around your very own checklist. Bilingual in both French and English, she keeps the whole process of buying a simple and orchestrated routine.

French Horse Exports has also pivoted to focus on the American market as well. With 13 years of hands on experience as a broker, Katherine has gotten to know trainers all over the United States. Therefore, as of April 2025, stateside sales have taken shape. Katherine is constantly looking for sale horses to fulfill her long list of client orders for horses located solely stateside.
